Drake Well Family Day

Titusville Council on the Arts will be on hand at Drake Well Family date with fun arts and crafts for kids.

Artist Meet n Greet Mixer

Hosted by Titusville Council on the Arts and Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce, this mixer is an excellent opportunity for local artists to connect with other artists, businesses and the community. Location and times TBA.

 

Monday April 7

Day of Poetry – With Titusville Area School District & Univ of Pitt Titusville

Titusville’s Day of Poetry is for all students in elementary, middle or senior high (including home schooled students and parochial students) and college students from the area. The following schools will be participating:  Hydetown, Main Street, Pleasantville, Middle School and Senior High School and the University of Pittsburgh-Titusville Campus. Students who submit their work and win first, second or third place and honorable mentions will be asked to read their poems aloud at the University of Pittsburg, Titusville.  Admission is free to the public.

 

Saturday April 12

2nd Annual Titusville PEEPshow

The 2nd Annual Titusville PEEPshow will be a display of wacky marshmallow masterpieces created by local artists, families, business, and community groups. Admission is FREE!  At the PEEPshow you can purchase vote chips to vote for your favorite Peeps creation. The creators of the entries with the most votes will win fabulous Peeps themed prize packs courtesy of Just Born Inc., the company that makes our favorite marshmallow candies.

Free Summer Concerts in the Park

TCA is known for this family tradition.  For nine Mondays each summer, the local community looks forward to listening to live music appropriate for all ages in beautiful Scheide Park, located in downtown Titusville. On any given Monday, folks can enjoy live music that ranges from old school favorites, to rock n roll, 60’s -80’s mix, and traditional country.

HOTAfest

HOTAfest (The Heart of the Arts Folk Music Festival) is a three-day event for musicians and visual artists. The weekend encompasses bluegrass, Irish Celtic, Gospel, Scottish, Civil War, folk, and mountain genres, along with hands-on visual arts workshops. The festival takes place at the Titusville Middle School, consists of over 60 workshops led by professional artists and musicians and features live performances, contra dance and jams under the stars.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Friday August 1& Saturday August 2

Titusville Area Youth Theater (TAYT)

For over 13 years, TAYT has been inspiring and motivating young performers and providing students of Titusville with the opportunity to explore the theater arts.  Participants gain essential and unique experience through working with industry professionals, both onstage and behind the scenes.  They gain tools to build leadership, confidence and self-esteem, which lead to better academic performance.

 

Saturday August 9

Fine Art Exhibition/Chalk Walk

TCA’s Fine Art Exhibit includes three categories: Professional, Intermediate, Amateur and Youth.  Artists can submit their work (painting, drawing, photography, and 3-D Fine Arts) under any of these categories.  The Chalk Walk takes place on a street block in front of the building where the Fine Arts Exhibit is held and artists are given set squares and free chalk. Both exhibits are judged and all artists receive ribbons. 

 

August 23

Drake Well Circus Day

TCA will again participate in this fun event by providing free art activities for kids of all ages.  Highlights include face painting and rock painting.

 

Sunday, December 7th

Pittsburgh Symphony Brass Holiday Concert

Each December, TCA presents The Pittsburgh Symphony Brass Holiday Concert at the Henne Auditorium, University of Pittsburgh Titusville. The concert is a delightful mix of carols and traditional holiday music and features a silent art auction, free reception and live music.  This event is a wonderful event for all ages, and students are provided discounted tickets.
